| About the Artist |
A creator for as long as I can remember, my first experiment with Life Drawing was entered into a public exhibition thus started my exploration of the human form. Now a professional photographer by trade I shoot all the normal things...portraits, pets and weddings but I specialise in fine art nude studies of the female and male form, working with individuals and loving couples to express their emotion through abstracted imagery. I still teach Life Drawing in my studio and taught the camp interior designers "Colin & Justin" how to draw/paint the nude on television. I developed the skill of painting from life on to quick setting concrete. Then, moved towards the Pollock style of freely thrown forms of wet-on-wet paint on large canvases, the form only visible as a highlight on the canvas. By this method I combined the eye of the professional photographer with the free spirit of the pollock-eske artist. Girlzart Photography brings anonymous eroticisim on to the mantlepiece of the home and the wallspaces of bedrooms across the country. Posing for Girlzart can be a transition into freedom for an individual or part of lovemaking for two lovers. |

Hint of a Woman
2006 Photograph 40x25cm |
|
Subtle and yet direct to the point, the lighting reveals the essence of womanhood and motherhood. Glimpsing from beneath the arm the viewer tracks the path of the light to the warmth of the protruding nipple. This, as with most of my images, is an image of a private client who has granted me permission to show & sell this piece of photographic art. |
Conflict of Chain
2006 Photograph 40x25cm |
|
A striking and provocative piece, a photograph to challenge and question...why the chain?...why the sweat?...is it pleasurable or painful?...you decide. She enjoyed it & gave her permission for this picture to be shown for sale. |
Woman Barred
2006 Photograph 40x25cm |
|
More questions than answers...why is the body stretched taught across the bars? Maybe the title has a typo in it...should it be "Woman Barred" or "Woman Bared". See the conflict between the roughness of the skin and the smoothness of the polished steel bars. Again, this lady has given her permission for this image to be displayed and sold. |
The GirlzART Eyes
2006 Photograph 40x25cm |
|
All my GirlzART pictures take normal women who have little or no experience of taking their clothes off for an unknown photographer and letting them explore the absolute beauty of their body, captured by my camera. Many of my clients have never stripped in front of a stranger, many have never been photographed, many do not like their own body or have felt in-secure about their body shape for years. Now you can see these wonderful pictures because they are so happy with them, they have granted me permission to show them and sell them. Through my eyes they have discovered their inner beauty and inner strength. |
Feel the Heat
2006 Photograph 40x25cm |
|
Need I say more about this picture, can you feel the woman squirming to be free of the entrapment of her clothes, secure in the beauty of her body? |
Sand Dunes at Night
2005 Photograph 40x25cm |
|
A body photographed on the day of her 40th birthday, a present to herself for her own...and now, by her permission, your enjoyment. A professional & artistic photographer knows how to stretch, twist & light a body to show it at its best. Here, the breast, rib cage and pelvis undulate like sand dunes in the cool of night. |
Sand Dunes 2 at Night
2005 Photograph 40x25cms |
|
Another 40 year young lady, stretched and lit to perfection..can you feel the ripples along her back to the strength of the shoulders that "work out" eaxh day? |
40 plus
2005 Photograph 40x25cms |
|
Another lady who was happy for me to photograph her, her friend had recommended me to her. She felt gravity and age had taken their dreadful toll on her body...would you agree? |

| Education and biography |
Several female clients have described a photographic session with GirlzART as “a secure yet liberating experience”...and have even suggested that he should sell himself as a “life trainer”. He is a gentle giant of a man, who can softly coax a person to reach beyond the boundaries of their current life, to explore new situations with prudent anticipation rather than anxious fear.
2002, John went “professional” as a social & commercial photographer 2003 brought him National & International publication as a photographer of the female form. His limited edition fine art prints have sold to collectors across North America, UK and Continental Europe.
He really enjoys photographing ladies and gents who do not enjoy their own bodies and who don’t see themselves as beautiful. He has applied his artistic flair to wedding, portrait, figure and commercial photography with great success and yet still finds time to relax with painting and running his Life Drawing Group, which has been featured on Television
Collaborating with Jim Collins of the Vernon Gallery, John’s paintings are now selling well within the North West and he has recently launched “art2show”, to provide art for Commercial & Domestic Interior Spaces. Owners of commercial spaces such as new bistro’s, office blocks or show-houses can choose from currently available artwork or may have artwork produced to their chosen size, colours and styles at realistic and affordable prices.
Art2show is currently seeking contacts within these areas, can you help?
