| About the Artist | |
My work flirts between painting and drawing. I like the line, the liminal, the ooze of a glossy stroke or the dribble of a wash, the speed of a charcoal dash, or the swish of a loaded brush. They start with an image culled from a glossy magazine, fairy tale, the lastest news story, a snatched sentence, historic art and literature, trash culture (all eras), ancient myth, coffee table erotica and poster art. I love the way an idea spreads and grows via serendipitous discoveries through to the point of execution. |
