| About the Artist |
Drawing is a fundamental process in my work and provides a foundation in all areas of my work, personal and illustration led.
My personal work is based upon predominently scottish themes and I am constantly inspired by scottish language and culture which surrounds me in everyday life.
My illustration work is based around client briefs where I am able to incorporate my use of text and image.
I am a sketchbook addict and enjoy the freedom of experimentation. Recent works have explored the application of mediums while working on the theme of natural environment.
I also dabble in photography. |

Atlantis Part 1
collage, gold leaf, pencil |
|
Illustration brief based upon the existence of Atlantis and the hedonistic life of its population. The use of gold leaf implies the decadence and opulence apparent within this fantasy society. |
Market Boy
Pencil |
|
Drawing inspired by Scottish markets and the people who work there.
In this image I have deliberately omitted any unnecessary detail from the figure. I wanted the boy to blend into his surroundings. |
