| People construct their spaces in an organized way that is often symmetrical. Symmetry is common to human-made objects used to signify importance, create aesthetics, help solve problems, or to construct a paradox. I explore symmetry to show normally prosaic places as unique, strange and beautiful. |

| This is from a group of images of common, public places that become mysterious when photographed during the night. They appear to be real places, lit and warm, but are peculiar because they are empty. The shift in focus adds to this peculiarness by making them appear as if they are models or an elaborate toy. The images are about being able to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. |
