Renate Siedentopf

About the Artist

I love to create Collage on a non-profit base for everyone to enjoy and to share, underlining my poetry published in my blogs, as a present for special occasions or just as a surprise for family and friends.
This is a way to express my inner emotions, feelings and a way to deal with arising problems. One could call it self therapy *smile*
In some way, caring for my own emotional well being.
The images used are photo images which I love to collect when wandering about with my camera. The right time, at the right place with my camera at hand and a mind full of ideas, life has supplied me with some beautiful occasions where I could capture some beautiful scenes and images.
I also use my collage to underline my poems.

The art we create, are an expression of ourselves through a medium and is a reflection of our inner soul.

All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness. - Eckhart Tolle -

Perspectives

2007
Collage and Photography

Perspectives
The art of forgetting: Forget the good and the bad dreams of last night. Forget the day that has passed, no matter how good or bad it was. Forget last week, the previous month, the previous week - it's over and done. Start the new morning like a child, live in the presence of time. Don't make your conscious a museum of memories, let it be like a blackboard - and often use the eraser. Practice the art of forgetting - but keep in mind: Life is only worth living in the presence of time.

Loneliness

2007
Collage and Photography

- R. Siedentopf -

Enthusiasm

2007
Collage and Photography

Enthusiasm
Was du tust, das tue Richtig. R. Siedentopf

Desire

2008
Collage and Photography

Sehnsucht, Verlangen = Bangen - R. Siedentopf -

The Mask

2007
Collage and Photography

Keiner weiß, was mich bewegt. - R. Siedentopf -

Vollmond

2008
Collage and Photography

Vollmond
Was habe ich getan, was habe ich verbrochen? Warum kommst du in meinen Träumen gekrochen? Es wird Nacht, es ward Dunkel. Sanft schaut der Mond auf uns herunter. - R. Siedentopf -

Bachache

2007
Collage and Photography

Bachache
This collage was done while enduring quite a lot of backache, before my big operation. Nice to look at this picture, remembering the suffering and therefore appreciating the new health I'm enjoying now.

Mourning

2008
Collage & Photography

Mourning
One should not spend to much time in mourning - hope always comes from above. Total of 3 images combined together, completed with a special touch of lighting.

Down

2007
Collage & Photography

Down
A week ago I was very down. Woke up - my face, one big frown. Suddenly I came to the realization, only I was to be blamed for this situation. No matter how big the despair, the answer, always within us somewhere. To find the final solution, look within and you will come to the conclusion. - R. Siedentopf -

Tenderness

2008
Collage & Photography

Tenderness
