Born in Tilsit / Eastern Prussia, Erika Rickenbacher, alias Era Rika, was living in Dusseldorf, Munich and Zurich in tight contact with the world of the artists.
Since 1981 she is residing in Vevey, at the border of the Lake of Geneva, and is dedicating her life to the painting.
After some studies in Munich and Zurich, she found her style mainly by her own experiences.
Her love of music and her internal and external feelings find their expression in a language of speaking symbols and strong colours, which nevertheless give the spectator the freedom of his or her own interpretation.
