| About the Artist |
I live and works from my studio in Southern Oregon. I'm primarily a self-taught artist with an extensive background in graphic arts and marketing. Although I consider myself a self-taught artist,I really credit the many interactions I've had with other artists who have inspired, mentored and befriended me throughout my career. I've enjoyed art my whole life. For the last two years I've been working as a professional artist doing commissioned paintings, art shows, festivals, private exhibitions, and selling my work online. |

Maui Beach
2006 60.96 x 91.44 cm |
|
This is a beach I went to last year in Maui. The beach was steep so the waves broke very close to shore. Painted with a palette knife blending colors directly on the canvas. Sand texture was used for the beach. The waves breaking are painted with iridescent paint which creates a shine/glow to the white. |
Tropical Abstract Bark
2006 Acrylic 157.40 x 60.96 cm |
|
3 60.96 x 60.96 cm gallery wrap canvas. I applied paint with a palette knife blending color directly on canvas. Then I blended fibers into the paint to create texture. This piece was inspired by tropical tree bark. |
Cafe Latte
2006 76.30 x 76.20 cm |
|
9 25.40 x 25.40 cm gallery wrap canvas. This is a study in textures. I used sand, glass beads, gold foil, wire mesh to create the various textures. I named it cafe latte because the colors I used reminded me of a latte. |

|
