I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in oct, 1980
Graduated in Architecture at Santa Ursula University ,Rio de Janeiro, in 2005.
Among my teachers were João Grijó, Suzana Queiroga, Manoel Fernandes and Hilton Berredo
In March, 2001, I took an extra curricular course on Drawing Techniques, given by Christina Mathias at Casa Verde da Miranda Studio, in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro
Later in the same year I was nvited to join an Art Course which eventually turned itself into a Group of Discussion about the role of painting as part of the contemporary artistic scene.
From then on, I started reading, attending art exhibits and workshops, surfing the web.I also had interesting discussions with other artists and took some trips
From the end of 2007 on, I’ve been part of BRECHA COLETIVO, a group of artists with a goal in common: To produce art in its many forms

| About the Artist |
Some time ago, I started to acknowledge and understand how contemporaneity affects all
of us.
We’re all shattered in a thousand pieces
Almost everything is common, we adapt ourselves to nearly any situation. All is ephemeral,
all is suscetible of an abrupt interruption, nothing matters except fulfilling our immediate
needs
Nowadays, one’s image is all that matters – A person is an image.
In my opinion, allof that sort of contemporaneity is confusion, not definition. Infinite possibilities and combinations, fake simplicity, foolish complexities.
A nonsense lysergic state of mind disguised as “post- something”
I re-create the boundless chaos in which we are bogged down to our necks.
I try to create images by way of contrasts: Hiding and showing, messing and cleaning, constructing and deconstructing, coloring and smudging, creating and destroying, drawing and scribbling, re-creating and denying
scribbles and excess paint (which frequently runs all over my work)
I use a profusion of colors, a confusion of lines, an unexpected smudge, shattered pieces,
I think of errors and accidents as possibilities, and work with all of them. I try to break, shatter, change, pause , interrupt – and, in the end, I join all those fragments into one only thing.
Working in that way, I use basically brushes, pieces of cloth, brillo pads, drop dispensers, sprinklers or any other instrument/ material that might attract me, on various types of surfaces, from traditional canvases to glass, vegetable paper and even cement sidewalks
This is my way of making sure I achieve what I search for: Something that makes people, when looking at my paintings, direcs his or her vision to the whole context. In that case, the larger the work, the better.
