| About the Artist |
The desire to touch, feel, experience and interact with an object is inbuilt into our psyche. Without the ability to experience texture visually we would not have the desire to experience texture visually yet most artists do not allow the viewer to experience their work on this higher level. Is there a point that the desire to touch becomes so overwhelming that the other senses compensate for the lack of physical sensation by imitating the sensation of touch and the resulting satisfaction.
If texture can be experienced without visual representation can texture be experienced without the physical sensation?
